Thai Street Food

Welcome to Thai Street Food in Kristiansand. Our restaurant reopened in 2023. It is located in the center of Kristiansand. The founders of this restaurant followed their dream of owning a Thai restaurant since 2017 in a small town called Setesdal. After that, they moved to Kristiansand to continue fulfilling their dream, and we really hope that you will give us a chance and welcome us.

Thai food

Thai food is becoming more and more accepted all over the world. Characteristics of Thai food vary by region, but what is common is the strong flavor that stands out in different dishes. With a variety of colors and looks, it only gets more exciting.

All kinds of fried dishes in Thai fast food include things like Pad Thai, fried rice, and sweet and sour fried. Anything that uses fire, a wok, different vegetables to create color, and different types of meat, or even vegetarian roasted vegetables, is suitable for vegetarians.

Soups

(ตัง) keng (ต้า) Empty as we call it in Thai. There are many soups in Thailand,
but the most famous are red curry, tom yam and, among other things, tom kha gai, which we will add to our menu in the future. The focus is mostly on coconut milk and Thai vegetables, chilli and
garlic and not least Thai herbs.

Isan menu

Isan (Thai: ไทย่า also romanized as Isaan, Issan and Esarn) is a name for the whole of northeastern Thailand. It is located on the Khorat Plateau and is surrounded by the Mekong River to the north and east (on the other side of the Mekong is Laos), and to the south by Cambodia.

The food from Northeast Thailand has a distinct taste, with salty notes from fermented fish sauce, spiciness from fresh and dried chilies, and acidity from local vegetables. In addition, many of the dishes are typically dry, rich and have an oily texture, and use fermented fish sauce as a seasoning in almost all dishes. This includes dishes such as mushroom soup, ‘Om’, ‘Mok’, various chili paste sauces, and not least as tam, which is a prominent dish in the region’s cuisine.

Thai Street Food

Our aim is for our customers to taste the varied taste of Thai food from different regions. And most importantly, you will receive service as if you were in Thailand. Our dishes are made with ingredients and mixtures from Thailand or places nearby in Asia, mixed with local products in Norway.
